Moved in?

We're technically moved in!!

Everything isn't unpacked, but I doubt it will ever all get unpacked.

The moving day started out well and wasn't too bad. It was way hot, but we got all of our big stuff loaded within an hour of starting, so not too long. And thank you CHANCE AND JOSH who helped load all the stuff with us and also NANCY, ROB AND CHANDLER for more help unloading everything! Thanks guys! We real
ly appreciate it!

Before we left our apartment, Nicole Hansen, the Relief Society President of our Draper Ward came by to say Good-Bye and give us a little Popcorn Treat. It was so nice of her! And it was sooo cute! I'm really going to miss the Mountain Point 5th Ward and all of the amazing people in it! We had a great first year of marriage in that ward! Thanks so much!

The amazing chocolate popcorn treat that Nicole Hansen made for us, super cute!

The move went pretty smooth, except for the part where our couch wouldn't fit down the stairs...soooooo we no longer have a couch :( sad day. We loved our couch. Even though it was very ugly, it was very comfy! Ryan's friend Depew will be devistated when he comes back to Utah and realizes that his favorite couch is gone. But luckily my old roommate Nancy was helping us move, so she took over our ghetto-comfy couch. At least it is in good hands :) So long, blue plaid ghetto comfy couch!

Oh another random incident while we were moving yesterday, Ryan's youngest brother Chubbs (James) was having abdominal pain and his Mom didn't have a car, so I went and picked them up to take them to the Instant-Care in Saratoga. I dropped them off, then we got a call an hour or so later from Ryan's Dad, asking him to come to the AF Hospital to help give Chubbs a blessing because he was going to be in surgery within the hour....

OH and with Chubbs getting his appendix out yesterday, Chubbs was the 3rd member of Ryan's immediate family that had their appendix out since March. Ryan started a bad trend in his family, and it keeps spreading! Crazy!

Ryan had his taken out in March, Ryan's Dad had his taken out in May and Chubbs was yesterday. That's every two months!! Anyways, we hope Chubbs is recovering quickly and hope that the curse of Appendicitis has stopped in the McCorristin Family. Hopefully!

Well, that's all for now.

Tucanos!

To celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary, we went to Tucanos for lunch today! It was amazing! And thanks to Sarah (Ryan's sister) we had a buy one get one free! Thanks again Sarah!

Ryan loves their Brazilian Lemonades.

Ryan tried 3 different Brazilian Lemonades, they were pretty tasty!

After Tucanos, Ryan and I went to see Eclipse. I hadn't seen it yet and it was pretty good. Ryan didn't fall asleep during the movie, so I guess he didn't hate it!

Once we got home, reality set in and we realized that we move in two days, so we needed to pack up some stuff. Boy do we have a ton of crap! We have 4 bags for D.I. and then threw away about 5 bags worth of stuff and we still have tons of stuff left. I can't believe it! I can't wait to have it all packed and over with. Of course we'll have to unpack it all, but that's life.

So wish us luck and hopefully everything goes smoothly with the move.

Wedding Cake!

Ryan apparently posted already today, but I wanted to add pictures of the yummy food we had today!

Ryan got me some pretty flowers last night :) And I made some yummy dinner!

I made one of my favorite meals growing up, Chicken and Brocolli Croissant Roll-Ups, Rice Pilaf and more Broccoli. I made them last week with my sister Jennie, and Ryan really liked them, so I made some for us tonight! They are really really good and are simple to make, which is my favorite!

You know the tradition of keeping the top of your wedding cake and eating it on your 1 year anniversary? Well we kept it in our freezer and defrosted it yesterday! The green decorations are a little crushed, but it doesn't look too bad for being in our freezer for a year!

We cut it and ate some and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! The vanilla cake was better than the chocolate cake, it was just a little more moist than the chocolate. But it wasn't bad for being a year old! So if anyone wants some year old cake, we'll probably keep it for a day or two then throw it out.

Other than eating some good food, we aren't doing much for our Anniversary today. But, Tomorrow we're going to go to our favorite restaurant, TUCANOS and probably go see a movie. We're way excited :)

This year has been filled with a lot of fun and I love Ryan more and more everyday, some days more than others...but I love him and am excited for the years to come!

I love you Ryan!!

I have a hot husband :)

Love: Suzie

P.S.-Today was our last Sunday in our ward. We were in this ward for a whole year, yet I didn't get too involved until I was released from the Primary and called to be the Relief Society Secretary. I wish I would have involved myself in the ward earlier, but I didn't. We have had some great memories in the Mountain Point 5th Ward and will miss it a lot!

The lesson in Relief Society today was on "Healing the Sick" by Dallin H. Oaks from the Priesthood Conference Session and Sasha Johnson did an amazing job! It was her first time teaching in Relief Society too! One of the many things that I'm going to be taking from her lesson was that she mentioned that she blogged and then she made a book out of it. I thought that was a brilliant idea! And I know that I've heard it before, but it never clicked for me before. And now that I'm blogging more, I think I will make a book online out of our blog. It's a great way of having a "Family Journal", so I'm excited to do that sometime. I realized though, that I really didn't blog at all last year. We only had 4 blog updates for the whole year of 2009 and so far for 2010, we have 16. So we're getting better, but not by too much.

I will hopefully continue to be better at blogging, even if they are boring updates. I also created a blog for my side of the family. There's a family blog for the McCorristin side of our family, but there isn't one for the Mayer side of my family. So I talked to my Mom and told her that I made one for our side of the family and that I think it's a great way to keep in touch with each other more and feel more involved. So I hope that goes well. That's all for now!

One Year Down...One million bazillion more to go!

Today marks the day that we get to eat 1 year old cake! (I bet Val is jealous!) hehehe! The year sure has flown by!

It is awesome that a year has passed. Looking back on it, I feel like I have known Suzie My whole life and it feels like more than a year has passed. I have come to love her so much and know that the love we share will just keep growing with time. I can't wait for our family to expand even more and have little Ryan's and Suzie's to be running around! (Yep, we are going to take over the world!)

Who knows what the future has in store for us but the one thing that I do know, Suzie will be there right next to me! That gives me the strength to keep going! Even if we do end up like this:

I LOVE YOU SUZIE!

George and Heather's Wedding!

Yesterday my friends George and Heather were married in the Salt Lake City Temple!
I met George sophomore year of high school in Mrs. Trakovsky's Physical Science class. I'm not very good with details or remembering specifics of how things came to be, but we became friends. George wasn't a member of the church and honestly I never thought about talking to him about the church, he just wasn't the type of person that would be a member of the church, or so I thought. Long story short, George became a member at the end of 2008. Shortly after becoming a member, George moved up to Utah at the beginning of 2009 and has been living in Eagle Mountain ever since. He met Heather in the Eagle Mountain singles ward and are now married! Yay! It was really great being able to see him be married in the Temple.

Headbands that I made for Heather's Bridesmaids! I think they came out pretty cute!

He may be kind of weird...but I love this guy :)

Cute!

I love this picture!

Ryan looking GQ :)

Ryan was one of George's Groomsmen

Ryan looking like typical Ryan...

It was a very long day, but we had a lot of fun and are way happy for George and Heather to start their lives together!

Everything dipped in Chocolate :)

Today I dipped about 200+ strawberries and marshmallows in chocolate with my sister Jennie for a pack meeting. Here are a few pictures of what they looked like. We dipped them in graham cracker crumbs, Oreo crumbs, mini M&M's and heath bar crumbs.

Mmmmm...

The finished product. We filled a whole fridge with what we did. That's all for now!

Who are these children coming down?

I know the title is totally random, but when I was thinking of posting about all of our new nieces and nephews, the song from Saturday's Warrior came into my head. I remember watching Saturday's Warrior on Sunday's when I was younger because we didn't really watch anything else on Sunday's other than Church movies or Musicals haha I realized that I haven't seen that movie for years and I used to love it! It's a very cheesy and ridiculous movie, but I loved it! I looked up the Movie on IMDB to try and remember what the movie was about and here's what it says for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about.

Saturday's Warrior- "An ordinary LDS family has a teenager named Jimmy and he wonders about life and what is coming. Jimmy's sister Julie has a boyfriend on a mission who she plans to marry when he gets home. Jimmy's twin sister Pam is handicapped and is confined to a wheelchair and wants to make things good for Jimmy. Jimmy doesn't seem to care about his large family and wants to do his own things. When Jimmy hears his mother is going to have another child, Jimmy is filled with anger and leaves. His family wants Jimmy to return and love him, but Jimmy does not want their love."

Anyways, it makes me want to see it because I'm sure it will seem even more ridiculous and cheesy now that I'm older.

But back to my reason for this post...

We have another niece and I figured I would do a little post with the latest nieces and nephew from the McCorristin/Mayer family.

We feel very blessed to be apart of such "big" families. Having so many nieces and nephews is exciting because whenever we have family gatherings in the future, it will be so much more fun, especially as they start getting older!

I remember going to big family reunions growing up and being able to spend time with all of my cousins and I'm excited that our future kids will have a similar experience with having some cousins to play with!

Ryan's sister Tammy and her first little one! Sawyer was born June 3, 2010!

Ryan's sister Sarah and her first little one! Emma was born June 12, 2010!

My brother Brigham had his 4th little one today! Sierra was born July 19, 2010!

With 3 babies born this year, we still have 2 more to go! My sister-in-law Sara is due next month and my sister Tammy is due in January! (Lots of duplicate names, I know, kinda crazy!) We are excited to see the little one's when they get here!

Again, we feel very blessed to be apart of such great families and are excited to see them continue to grow! At this point, Ryan and I have 17 nieces and nephews combined! We love all of them and are glad to have so many family members close to us! We love you all!

Copycat :)

So I was looking at my cousin Kimber's blog and she copied the idea from another blog, therefore, I am copying it from her. I thought it was a cool idea. So basically the blog was saying that they took pictures of random things in your house. So here are some random black and white pictures from our apartment :) Just for fun!

I own lots of earrings...

We had candles left out from when our power went out...

Lights in our bathroom...

Stuff on our fridge...

What's left on our bookshelf, we haven't packed them yet.

We write on our mirrors :)

Hand mirror...

Our Calendar. I know it's blurry, but I kind of liked it that way.

Well that's it! I took some random pictures while Ryan was taking a nap. I actually took a picture of him taking a nap while I was taking pictures. Here's Ryan sleeping...

Aww, how precious!

Weekend Fun!

Yesterday was a lot of fun!

Jennie, Rob, Chandler, Tate, Lincoln, Caitlin, Tanner and Bailey (yep, that's a lot of people) came over to go swimming while Jen and Rob were watching my brothers 3 kids. It was a blast. We started out just relaxing in the pool, but then my brother-in-law Rob thought it would be fun to do Ultimate Frisbee in the pool with a little play Frisbee...and it was an AWESOME IDEA! Ryan and I were one team, and then Rob and Chandler were the other team. It was a lot of fun trying to "run" in a pool, especially with the water holding you down and going against you, but it was a lot of fun. The score was 6-0 with Ryan and I in the lead, and then we added my niece Caitlin to our team and Tate to the other team, and we kind of got destroyed...But then again, we added a teammate who didn't know how to swim...so it was kind of 2 against 3. But it was still so much fun and the score ended with 9-10 with the other team winning.

After swimming, we went over to Jen and Robs for homemade pizza, it was delish! I then went to my friend Heather's Bridal Shower and had some girl time. While I was at the shower, Ryan went over to his friend, Sean's house and chilled with him. After the shower, I spent some time with my old roomate Nancy and then Ryan picked me up and we went back to Sean's to play "Family Feud". It was a lot of fun and Ryan and I beat Sean and Laurie. It was a lot of fun. Wow, I think I've said the word "fun" like a billion times. Sorry! So that was our Saturday.

Today, we went to my friend Whittney's Farewell in Eagle Mountain. She did a great job and I'm sure she'll be an amazing missionary. It was also cool going out there because I was able to see my old roommate, Ashley. I hadn't seen her for almost a year! It was great and hopefully we will be having a play-date sometime soon! After spending some time at Whitt's, Ryan and I went over to Lisha's house.

I had some fun cleaning up a bit at Lisha's (she just had a baby 3 weeks ago, so I figured I could help her clean her kitchen area) Meanwhile, Ryan was able to play some video games with Ricky, Bill, and Dani. I think he had fun getting his only video-gaming time in. We then went over to Ryan's parents house for dinner. We had "Soup Chicken", which is way tastey and she even let us take home the leftovers :) Ryan will have lunch for this week! Yay! We then played Skip-Bo and Judy (Ryan's mom won) It was fun. I love games!

Then, once we got home, Bethany came over for a bit to catch up and hang out a bit. We hadn't hung out for a while, so it was nice catching up with her. Once B left, Ryan and I packed a few boxes with books so we can gradually start moving stuff. And now, I'm typing this and Ryan is sleeping on the couch...as usual.

Overall, it was a good weekend. At this point, we need to start packing more things and moving stuff within the next two weeks. We're planning on moving the "big stuff" on July 28, so I can leave for California the next day :) Yep, I'll be going down to California for the 4th time this year, and Ryan is way sad that he can't come on this trip either, and I am way bummed too :( But I'll be driving down with Bethany so we can attend a friends Mom's Baptism. Yay for baptisms!! So that's what's happening with us. Thanks for reading.

I'm trying to be like Nicole Wood

Ryan and Nicole dressed up at the Church Museum.

Ok, so I've been reading my friend Nicole's blog and I am ashamed at how terrible I am about blogging. I of course make excuses like, "I don't have a life" or "Nothing ever happens to me" but I guess I'll try to blog about my boring nothingness life anyways.
So last week my friends Nicole and Jose came up to visit. Nicole stayed with me for two days and it was pretty much amazing. As Nicole's blog says, we were best friends since 7-12 grade and then once I moved up to Utah, I was lost in the "black hole" that non-mormons, aka Nicole, call Utah.Anyways, I hadn't seen Nicole for over 2 years and it was great spending time with her. There's friends in life where you don't have to talk to them for months at a time, or in our case, years at a time, but once you get together again, it's like you hung out the day before. That's how mine and Nicole's friendship is, and it's awesome. Of course, I would love to see her more often, but with her traveling to 6 different countries within the last 5 months, it's kinda hard to get her in the same country as you, let alone the same state as you. But it was great having her here for the little time that we did have.

Nicole was quizzing us on our Church knowledge.

Oh, this is a picture of Ryan right after he set off the alarm on the escalator at the Conference center. It was really loud. Good job Ryan! I love the face!

Nicole found Jesus! ...in the back of a truck...haha

The first day was really chill and didn't consist of too much activity, we went to the Draper Temple to show Nicole where we got married but other than that we went to Jacie's for a fun Bar-B-Q. And the second day was way fun with us going around Temple Square and seeing the Conference Center, along with hearing MoTab Practice, and all the other sites around Temple Square, and surprisingly, that was my first time seeing any of the museums or tours and stuff, so it was fun! I kind of slacked on explaining everything to Nicole, but Ryan answered any questions that she had and did a good job with that. I think the best part was going to the Museum of church history and art, specifically the childrens' area. We were able to color, and dress up, and then Nicole asked all the mormons Bible, BOM, and D&C trivia. Ryan was the all-star and got all the answers right. Oh and we made babies!! Well, not the real way of makin' babies, but there was a baby area and we were able to name babies and whatnot. Nicole named my child Nephi First McCorristin. So for all the family reading this, you won't be surprised what our first childs name would be...not. Either way, it was a lot of fun! And hopefully Nicole comes back up here soon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
So today, Ryan and I watched Erin and Brooke. They are totally cute kids, but Erin can get a little...hyper/excited/loud...just like most other children. So before Ryan left, we went to go feed the Ducks and Geese. When we first got there, there weren't any birds that were visible, but the second we started feeding one bird, 50 billion, yes 50 billion came out of nowhere! Ryan actually got scared of some of the geese cuz they were getting really close to us and were hissing...kinda creepy. Then once Ryan left for work at 2, I was all on my own with two little girls. It wasn't that bad, Erin went down for a nap and Brooke did too. It took a while to get Brooke to sleep because we didn't have a Port-O-Crib/PlayPin thing, so I had to rock her to sleep in my arms. The only picture I have from today was this one of Brooke in my arms asleep.

They're always so much more lovable when they're sleeping :) Well, after their naps, we hung out for a bit, they watched toy story 1. I fed them some delish spaghetti and then Mike got here so I took Erin to the pool to swim for 15 mins or so. It was kind of nice, there was only 1 other person in the pool, which rarely happens. Man, Erin loves the water and isn't scared of it at all. If I wasn't there, she would have attempted to go to the deep end, actually, she did try to go to the deep end, but she soon realized that she didn't know how to swim. All in all, it was a good day. Well, thats all I have for now and hopefully I will update more reguarly, even if I am the only one who reads it.
