TCC OSS!

If you've been reading my blog lately, you probably know that Ryan has been doing AMAZING at work, so last month he had an interview for an OSS position. There were 3 positions open in a few other departments and a few weeks ago he found out that he didn't get one of the three...he was pretty bummed. But HR had sent him an email saying that "he wasn't declined and they're still considering him for a position". That was pretty confusing because there were only 3 positions and the 3 positions were full. Well today he got a call from the OSS supervisor in TCC offering him a position! He was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
excited :)

TCC (Top Customer Care) is the department that he has been in for most of his time at eBay, and he's excited to stay in that department and now be OSS (Operations Support Specialist) which means that he won't be on the phone nearly as much and he will be couching and training the representatives in TCC! It's so exciting!!
He is so excited that he hasn't been able to focus on his 10 page paper due tomorrow, but luckily the paper is almost done! haha
With all the pro's of his promotion comes a big con in my mind, but we knew that it was going to happen, but instead of Ryan and I working the same hours, Ryan will be "swings" which his start time will be anytime after 1pm-3pm...So pretty much opposite schedules. But he knew what he was getting into when he applied and he's still way excited! I'm excited in a lot of ways, but a little bummed that I will never see him. Luckily he will be working Mon-Fri with only having to work a weekend once every other month or so, but again, with a promotion comes some different things, both good and bad, but there are definitely a lot more good!!
And now tonight we are going out to Olive Garden with Ryan's parents and Chubbs to celebrate! You're amazing Ryan and don't you forget it!!

Quadruple Date Night!

Last night we had a group date night. We did personal pizza's out of Rhodes Rolls and also made some Pizza Balls that Kara made for us a while ago, it all turned out way good and we had a lot of fun! We also played Curses and Liar's Dice!

Love Max's face

Thursday: Blue and Gold Dinner

My sister Jennie is in charge of the food for all Scout activities and on Thursday I helped her out with their biggest event of the year! The blue and Gold Dinner! Jen did amazing and everyone was raving about the food! She did a Nacho/Burrito bar with sweet pork or chicken and it was sooo good! She even made Cafe Rio ranch dressing! Here are a few pictures from that night!
The buffet, then we also made the fresh tortilla's from Costco.
The lady in charge of the decorations had this cute idea of wrapping the Root Beer to look like scouts! So cute! Then they used the centerpiece as part of their dessert for Root Beer Floats!
The not-so-fun part of the night, all the clean up and dishes! There were about 12 crock pots used that night and a ton of bowls, I had to take a picture of some of the dishes. Plus the church only had 1 sink, so only one person could do it at one time.
It was fun helping out and to have some tasty food :)

For the record

If any of you know me at all, you know that I have the worst memory. I'm pretty good at forgetting what I did the day after I did it, so some or most of these posts may not be very interesting to readers, but this is our "family journal" so I want to put certain things in here so we'll remember them. So if you don't want to hear about how great Ryan is doing at work...don't read this post. You have been warned :)

In Ryan's Department they did an "eBay's Oscar's Party" because I guess the Oscars were recently, so their "fun committee" had voting going on to nominate their peers for certain "Oscars" so there were awards for each team last week and well, Ryan is amazing of course and for his team votes, he was voted "Best Animation" (which basically equals funny, entertaining, personally all that jazz and "Best Overall Performance" meaning exactly that, best overall performance in TCC with stats and what not. How awesome is that?? I know, my husband is great!
They took a picture of him at work all dressed up :)
So today was the "Black Tie Event" where people dressed up and TCC announced the overall winners (which the supervisor's chose)  for the Department, which there's about 180 Reps in his department. Well, Ryan was voted
"Best Actor" which for eBay's standards meant the best over-all Representative in TCC! Which is totally awesome! Plus he got some movie tickets to Megaplex for it! Woot woot!
Now for any of you that have worked at eBay or do work at eBay, you know how difficult it is to keep on top of all your stats with resolution, satisfaction etc. I am sooo proud of him!! So when Ryan told me that today, I went to get him a few treats after work before he got home. He was pretty happy about that :)
Jelly Beans and Pictureka game!
I love you Ryan! Keep up the hard work in school and work!!

Ryan's Birthday!

Last night we had a Birthday Party for Ryan so we had some friends and family over for some good food, games and ice cream cake!
Before the party, Ryan and I went to Tucano's to enjoy Ryan's free birthday meal!
Ryan's Madagascar ice cream cake! It was Cake Batter Ice cream with pieces of Oreo's, cookie dough and heath bars on top of white cake! Mmm so good!
Ready to party!
Ryan's birthday present was another monitor so he can do homework easier :) He was way excited when it came in the mail yesterday!

Ryan's Birthday was today, so we celebrated so far with eggs and bacon for breakfast, going to church, and then what Ryan wanted for his "Birthday Dinner/Lunch" was homemade Mac N Cheese, hot dogs and costco corn. No joke, that's what he was wanting and so excited for, so that's what I made for him :) and it made him very happy!
So here's a few pictures of Ryan when he was younger :)

Valentine's Day

This morning I went out to my car and found that Ryan had written "I love You's and Happy Valentine's Days" all over the windows of my car :) He's good at surprising me. It was nice that he went through that trouble at like 6am this morning.
While I was at work, my Team Lead came over to my desk and was surprised to see that there were no flowers on my desk (because Ryan has already sent me two bouquets of flowers since I've worked there and she's commented on how awesome she thinks my husband is that he surprises me a lot) so she said, "Your husband didn't send you flower's today?"
I told her that he didn't, but I told her that he wrote on my windows and she thought that was so cute!
Little did I know that an hour later I would get a bouquet of Tulips and chocolates :)
My Team Leader came by later that day and was surprised and said "Well I guess I spoke too soon! You're husband really is awesome!"
And yes, I do know that my husband is awesome! He's very good at surprising me and showing that he loves me :)
The Tulips are inside the wrapping, the rules for Tulips are to keep them in that wrapping for the first few hours so the tulips can drink first and then support themselves once they've had some water. I'll take a picture tomorrow to see what they actually look like!
What the Tulips looked like today! So pretty!
What I got Ryan for Valentine's Day?
Shrek Operation, Smurfs Trouble, Jumpin Monkeys and Let's Go Fishin' with two big tubs of Cotton Candy!
He was pretty excited :)
And how we are spending our official Valentine's Day?
Ryan is at school til 8pm and I'm catching up on some shows on TV.
We knew we wouldn't have much time together today, so yesterday we celebrated by going to Texas Roadhouse and then going to see the new Mission Impossible, which was pretty awesome! We had a great time!
I hope everyone's Valentine's Day was enjoyable, or what single people call Valentine's Day= Single Awareness Day

Busy weekend!

Friday night we helped Max, Erik and Kyle move into their house in Orem. They are renting a 5 bedroom house and it is pretty awesome! I don't have any pictures from that night because Ryan and I went straight from work to help them. It was a night full of helping them move in, going to Astro Burger and showing the guys Macy's Ice Cream Kong Kones.

Saturday was a pretty busy day. I went to my sister-in-law, Chelsie's baby shower that was up in Brigham City, so it was a whole day event of leaving the house at 11:15am and getting home at 5pm, I hadn't really realized how long of a drive it is. It was a nice baby shower and nice getting together with family.
She's having a boy and his name is going to be Ty! So cute!
Val had put together a easy craft to do for little Ty, we made some fabric designs then ironed them onto onesie's. I made this one!
Later that night we went to a Surprise Birthday Party for my cousin Casey! Surprise parties never seem to go the way that you plan them to go, but it all worked out! Kimber and Casey went to get some free birthday stuff while we set up the party. We ate some food and played some games and had a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Casey!

Kimber put a sparkler on top, it was really cute! Casey couldn't blow it out though, it will just continue to burn until it's out :)
Today we went to Whittney's Homecoming! She went to the Utica, New York Mission and it's so good to have her back! She gave a great talk and then we all went to her house for some breakfast!
Me, Whitt and Ashley!
Welcome home Whitt!
