The Polar Express!

Tonight we went on the Polar Express in Heber! It was way cool! Jeremy and Kara told us about it and wanted to get the discounted price, so we went with them! They served us hot chocolate and cookies as they read Christmas stories and jokes and we also sang Christmas songs together. We saw Mrs. Claus and Santa too!
On the Train!

Curtis was so excited to be on a train!

We were excited too!

Everybody on the train!

Mmmm Hot Chocolate!

Singing "he see's you when you're sleeping..."

Curtis was scared of Mrs. Claus
Curtis was even more scared of Santa! He was screaming when Santa attempted to hold him. It was kind of funny, but cute!
A picture of the picture that they took of us. They wanted 12 bucks for it...psh. No thanks!

Curtis, Kara and Jeremy!

Kara had "Two Turtle Doves" for the Twelve Days of Christmas Song

Us in front of the train!
We had a lot of fun and even got our 2010 Ornament for this year! Ryan and I want to have a Christmas Tradition of getting a new Ornament every year, so this year's ornament is a snowflake that say's "Polar Express" on it to remind us of our train ride on the Polar Express!

Family Pictures!

One thing about my family that we do when we get together is make an “itinerary” for the allotted time that we have together. We mainly made a “meal itinerary” for this gathering, of planning what food we needed for breakfasts, lunches and dinners and then who would be in charge of what meals. Well, Ryan and I were in charge of Breakfast on Friday morning. We did 4 pounds of bacon, 31 eggs and I don’t even know how many pancakes. But Breakfast turned out well!
Ryan cookin the bacon for breakfast!
We had a dance party while making breakfast!

The Family with Dad and Peggy!

This family picture isn't the best of the whole family, but Tanner's face is hilarious! He couldn't keep his eyes open, so this was his solution.

We wanted to get some pictures of the family together and then of each individual family. Being in the middle of a desert, the winds are way strong, so that caused some issues with taking pictures and on top of it, it was freezing, so we didn’t last too long being outside. We got some really cute pictures and finally have some more recent pictures of Ryan and I together, our only other pictures were our engagements and wedding pictures which were a long time ago.

Saturday was the day of the Rivalry Game between Utah and BYU, and being down in California, the only way Ryan and Brig could watch it was by listening to the radio on Ryan’s laptop. After Utah’s win of 17-16 Ryan wanted an epic Utah shirt picture. Here it is.

Then I got a nice picture of Ryan
I can't say the same about me...the wind was ridiculous!
Ryan and I attempted to take a picture of ourselves, but it was way too close, but it turned out ok anyways.

In-N-Out

On Friday, we headed down to San Bernardino to meet up with my Mom and Richard for lunch to spend some time with them. We ate some In-N-Out and spent some time in the warmer weather. Oh, by the way, this week was freezing in California! Most days were around 30 degrees or less, which is way cold for Southern Cali. But we made the most of it and still had a great time!

We then headed back up to Hesperia to go see Tangled! It was such a cute movie!! We all went and after the movie, all the kids kept calling Ryan, “Eugene” and saying, “Do the smolder!!” haha apparently they think that he looks like the main character from Tangled. Which I think is a compliment, cuz he’s cute (for being a cartoon character haha)

That night we got a game of Risk going and it was a pretty intense game. We had a lot of fun and Ryan ended up conquering the world!

Tanner, Hayden and Caitlin swinging.
More acting like a monkey. The kids were loving it!

Thanksgiving in Hesperia

We caravanned up to my Dad’s house on Wednesday evening. The minute we walked in the door, Ryan was wanted by the kids to play games with them and the whole rest of the week they loved having Uncle Ryan help them with a Wii game or Hide N Seek or any other game.

We roasted S'mores in the fireplace.
Ryan was way tired and fell asleep on the hammock chair.
Thursday morning we started cooking for Thanksgiving. Everyone had something that they were in charge of, or a few things they were in charge of and it was fun making food together. All of the food was amazing! It was a great Thanksgiving meal!

Upland/Claremont

Monday night we headed over to Serge and Sara’s for dinner and my friend Erik joined us. We had yummy Beef Stroganoff and Pumpkin Cobbler for dessert. We also had FHE with them, which consisted of a 5 minute lesson and about 50 minutes of trying to get Hayden to settle down and stop talking about trying to find a laser pointer. But we had a lot of fun and enjoyed catching up!

Tuesday we went to the Temple, which I already blogged about. Oh, but we did grab some Patty’s for dinner, which was amazing. Patty’s is a hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant that my friends and I would go to probably 5 times a week during High School-So Ryan and I of course had to eat there while in Claremont.

Wednesday we went to The Claremont Club in Claremont to have some fun working out, playing racquetball, go swimming (which it happened to be cold for California, it was about 50 degrees outside, but the Olympic Pool was heated, so it wasn’t as bad) and go in the hot tub. Here’s a few pictures that we took at the Club.

My Mom had a ton of Free Birthday Ice Cream Cards, so Ryan and I each got a scoop of Bert and Rocky Ice Cream at the Club.
After being really active and working out we of course went out to eat a ton of food (haha I know, pretty counterproductive) anyways, we went to a Chinese place called Tasty Goody. Now, this place not only has good Chinese food, but they pack as much food as possible into your container-Therefore, it’s way worth it! Ryan and I got one meal, and it not only filled us both, but we still had a little more than half a container left! It’s an awesome place!
The 2 pounds of chinese food that was so good!
