Moved.

I found this picture online and I thought it was pretty awesome, especially since that's how it feels every time we move.

So, as you can tell, we moved...again. People are probably wondering why, and long story short, it just wasn't working out.

Therefore, we are now living at the Casa de Hermosillo (aka living with my friends Lish and Ricky, who graciously said that we can stay with them for a while, they are pretty much amazing!) The funny thing is, that I've already lived here before, back in the day. Lish was my second Roommate in Utah and now we are staying in the same room that I used to have. Good times.

I don't know of anyone else who has moved this much. I added it up and this is my 8th time moving since 2007...that's got to be a world record or something.

Here's the breakdown...
1. Move to Jen and Robs in City Center
2. Move to Lisa's
3. Move to Lisha's
4. Move to Jen and Robs in City Center
5. Move to Nancy's
6. Move to Adagio
7. Move to Jen and Robs in Saratoga Springs
8. Move to Lish and Ricky's

Oh, and of course, the worst thing is that I had to tell the Relief Society President that I was moving. That was pretty difficult and by far the shortest calling I've had. My last calling was about 2-3 months, because we moved and this one was not even 2 weeks! If I knew that I was going to be moving, I wouldn't have accepted the calling, cuz that's just wasting the Relief Society's time, but I had no idea. Does the Lord really want me to be of use for 2 months or even just 2 weeks?? I wonder sometimes.

Well, I told the Relief Society President and she was really understanding, and surprisingly, I did help them out a lot. Basically with just getting organized and doing computer work that I guess most ladies don't know how to do. Well, I hope I helped at least?

Boo and some Joy along with it!

Yesterday was our first McCorristin Family Dinner/Women's Craft Night!

All of Ryan's family, and I mean all of them (minus Andrew) were able to make it. Kara and I counted last night and there were 23 of us, that's a whole lot of McCorristin's! Anyway, we had a yummy dinner and then all the ladies took over the dinning room and did a really cute craft!

We all brought things to share and Chelsie made the blocks and vinyl letters. The craft is 3 blocks of wood; on one side it says "Boo" for Halloween, and on the other side it says "Joy" for Christmas. They all turned out way cute!

Here's everyone's blocks (minus Tammy's, she left before I could take a picture, sorry Tam)

Here's Judy's Joy side!

Judy's Boo side!

Val's Boo side!
Chelsie's Boo side!
Kara's Boo side!
Kara's Joy side, along with Curtis!
Sarah's Boo side!
Sarah's Joy side!
My Boo, hehe that sounds ghetto
My Joy!
As you can see, they all turned out way cute! I think the first craft night was a success! We don't know what we're going to do for next month's craft, but we were thinking of something for Thanksgiving.

Does anyone have any cute ideas? Let me know!

Botox gone wrong!

Bethany got in a fight!!

A girl that wasn't on the team, came up to her before the game and punched her in the mouth! Apparently, the girl thought that Bethany looked like the girl who stole her boyfriend, so she punched her. Bethany didn't even know what hit her, it was crazy!

I mean, why would you want to mess with B?

Alright, so she didn't get in a fight with a random chick,
I actually hit her.

Not on purpose though, I was helping her warm up by tossing the ball back and forth, and I threw the ball to her, she put up her mitt to catch the ball, but instead, it hit her face! The weird thing was that she didn't even flinch! No joke! She has been sick for the last few days, so I guess it's slowed her reflexes. I felt soooooo bad! It started bleeding and puffing up pretty bad.

As the night went on, it continued to get puffier and puffier. Everyone kept making fun of her for only getting botox in part of her lip, and every time people made her laugh it hurt her a lot. Sorry B!!

A close up on the puffiness!

On a side note...

We won! (By default)

The other team didn't even care to show up! It's not that some of the other team showed up, NONE of them showed up. But when one team forfeits, they have to pay the team $35, so our team will get $35 next Friday, which will most likely go towards "Ackley Masonry" the company that sponsored the team.

Most of the team!

Double Header Softball Games

We lost both games. We didn't do as bad as last week, thanks to our awesome Pitcher, Derek. The first game was 7-9 and the second one was 12-22.

Practice for the Show

I went to practice from 9:30am-12:30pm for Les Mis and Fiddler on the Roof. We blocked and choreographed some songs and it was a lot of fun. I guess my Thursday nights and Saturday mornings will now consist of practices, which I don't mind at all!

I'm still not positive on when the shows are, but I heard that they're November 5 and 6. So mark your Calendars now!

Dinner and Games at Jeremy and Kara's

Jeremy and Kara were nice enough to invite us over for dinner and games! The food was delicious! I'd never had homemade baked sandwich things before, and they were seriously so good! There was Philly Cheesesteak and Ham and Cheese, which they were both so good!!

After Curtis went to bed, we started playing "Wacky Six". We played to 250 then moved onto the game "Buzz Word" (which I sucked at, Sorry Kara) and then we played "Disney Scene It". Ryan and I got lucky and won the first game, but Kara and Jeremy kicked our trash the second game. We had a lot of good food and fun Saturday night.

Getting a Calling

So, amongst other things that we talked about Saturday Night with Jeremy and Kara, we talked about callings and how it was nice that we didn't have callings yet (In our previous ward, we moved in and by the next week, we were already teaching in the Primary) so I guess we thought we slipped under the radar...well...I totally jinxed myself I guess.

This morning I got a call from the Executive Secretary from our ward (by the way, his name is John Taylor...haha) asking me if I could meet with a member of the bishopric today before church. I instantly knew that I would be getting a calling and most likely in the Primary. (Not that Primary isn't awesome, but once you're in Primary, you're secluded into "Primary World" and no one knows you exist)

So, Ryan and I get to church and we meet with the First Counselor of the Bishopric and he says that Ryan could join us too. He starts talking and says stuff about Relief Society. Apparently our ward is huge and they wanted to re-organize the Relief Society Presidency to be more like the Bishopric, where there's a Bishop, 1st and 2nd Counselor, Executive Secretary and Secretary.

Therefore...

I'm the new Relief Society Secretary. hahaha I guess I still have a lot to learn about being in the Relief Society Presidency, because this will now be my third time being the Relief Society Secretary. I'm not complaining, I'm actually really excited to be a part of it and am flattered that they think I can help them out. And hopefully I'll be able to start learning people's names now and getting more involved in this ward. Hopefully!

PickalittleTalkalittle!

Long story short, the woman that I volunteer with at the school asked me today what part I sing and if I had some free time? I said, Alto (basically a tenor/baratone haha) and sure! She told me to come to the Stake Center from 7-9pm because they need some extra people for Pickalittle Ladies (from The Music Man) a Mama in Fiddler on the Roof and another part in Les Miserable. So I did!

By the way, this is for a Stake Musical Collection thingy? I actually don't even know, and technically I don't even know when the performance is, sometime in November? haha I guess I could have asked more questions, but eh, it's all good.

Tonight I was only able to practice with the Pickalittle Ladies, but it was a lot of fun! I have really missed being in shows and singing, and boy, was I feeling rusty. I initially thought that I'd just be a background person, but I already have lines and solo parts to sing with the Pickalittle Ladies...I was way surprised, but again, way fun!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a random note...Jen and I decorated the house. It's kinda early, but we decorated for Halloween! I love Halloween, so I don't mind at all that we decorated early.

Super cute decorations!

We hung some spiders from one of the light fixtures and it turned out pretty cute too! I made the pictures green to make them more spooooky (Did it work? haha)

Musical Express

Today was the first day of Musical Express.

We have 20 kids: 15 girls and 5 boys. The boys are pretty outnumbered.

We went over the songs that we're going to be singing this semester and here's a collage of where the songs are from.

I'm really excited to be working with these kids and can't wait to start working on the music!

P.S.- Here's an extremely cute picture of my new niece Brennalyn and sister-in-law Sara. She's so cute!

Reminiscing...

Tonight we went over to Ryan's parents house for dinner. We had some yummy lasagna made by his Mom, and it was so good!

After eating dinner, we looked at Mark and Judy's wedding album. It was really cool looking at how different a 1977 wedding looked compared to what weddings look like now. And I think it's awesome that Mark wore a baby blue suit (almost Dumb and Dumber status). Of course I had to take some pictures of their pictures in the album. Here are a few.

Mark and Judy on their wedding day!

Look at that wallpaper! It's awesome!

Aw, so cute!

After reminiscing with Ryan's parents, we headed over to Nolan park to play some Ultimate Frisbee with a ton of Singles Ward people. We had a lot of fun and our team actually won! Woot woot! Ryan had some really good catches and scored a few points, it was great!

Here's a victory picture of us, and Ryan looks kind of drugged for some reason.

Then, after ultimate frisbeeing(yes, I made that word up) we headed over to Sean's house to chill with him for a while.

With all of that, it was a fun-filled Monday night!

All married in 2009!

Tonight we got together for some games at Casey and Kimber's place. We played a lot of games, ate some dessert and had a lot of fun. Usually it's me and my two cousins along with our husbands, but I thought of having my friend Jacie and her husband join us too! It was way fun!

We played "Catch Phrase" to start the night off, then moved to "Funglish" and ended the night off with "The Game of Things".

One thing I realized during the night was that all of us married couples had gotten married last year. So, I wanted to include a picture of each couple on their wedding day and a picture of them from tonight. I know, random, but I don't care.

Jacie and Shane started us out with getting married June 2009.

Ryan and I were married in July of 2009.

Kammy and Rob were married in August...or was it September of 2009?

And Kimber and Casey were married in November of 2009.

Well that's all for my randomness of pictures. Tonight was a lot of fun and I hope we do it again soon!

We need a pitcher, not a belly itcher!

Well, none of the 3 pitchers(Ryan, Dan and Ricky) that we had during the game tonight were "belly itchers" but...um we did get a lot of walks. They all tried sooo dang hard and at times it was hard to watch, but they kept giving it their all! Good try guys!

So, here's what happened. As you can probably guess, we lost tonight. And it was a pretty big loss.

The game started out well with it being tied 5-5, and then we got up to 7-5. Within the next inning, it was 7-12 with the other team in the lead. Then it was our inning and they got us out.

Here's where it all goes downhill. Within the next inning, they got 19 runs, and about 15 of those were walks...which was hard to watch. So time had run out, but since we were the home team, we had to bat last. So we finally got them out and the score was 7-30! Yes, 30! Lets just say, it was a bad inning for our team. And with our final inning, we scored a few and the end score was 11-30.

On top of the game being pretty difficult to watch, the babies and kids were a little crazy today. Between me and Andrea, we had 3 infants under the age of 4 months, 2 toddlers and two of my nephews. Two of the babies were crying and needed to be held and the toddlers were freezing. So we got a blanket from our car and had the kids wrapped up to keep them warm.

I brought my camera, but forgot the memory card in the laptop at home, so I didn't get pictures from tonight, but I had to take a picture on my phone of the kids bundled up.

There's Kyra, Tate and Armani bundled up trying to stay warm.

But to be positive about the game...they didn't get a lower score then their last game! So technically they didn't do any worse? Maybe? So good effort and we'll get them next time! Hopefully.

Friends!

Yesterday was a lot of fun! I was able to hang out with my old Roomie Ashley!

Ash and I met, um, I don't remember when, sometime in the beginning of 2008 and we instantly became friends! I don't remember the time frame, but after a little while, Ashley moved in with me and we became roommates, and literally roommates. We shared a room and had a lot of fun. We both started working at eBay and would carpool to training blasting "The Veronicas" and "The beat song" (we never knew what the name of the song was, but it had a good beat)

Well, we've been good friends ever since, but she's had a graveyard shift for the longest time, that we haven't been able to see each other. But we finally made some time and were able to hang out. We talked for about 4 hours straight just catching up on EVERYTHING! It was awesome! I love Ashley and had so much fun catching up with her!

Here's me and Ashley at Lagoon, June 2008.

And here's me and Ash yesterday!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

After catching up with Ashley, Ryan and I headed to Orem to hang out with Bethany for her 21st Birthday!

Bethany and I have known each other for the longest time, and I really mean it. I don't seem to have any pictures of when we were way younger, but here's when we were 9.

B and I around Halloween time in our hometown city village.

Sophomore year, our first high school dance.

Last year at my wedding.

As you can see, we have known each other for a long time.

Here's Bethany's Ice Cream Cake from last night. It was way good and super cute!

Before people came over to party, B and I wanted to paint, so I brought over some paints and we painted some random stuff on some canvas. We didn't get much done, but it was fun! This blue painting was what Bethany did and it looks way good!

Back in the day, whenever it was one of our birthdays, we would buy each other a "Friends" Season. Well, we did that, and both of us have all the seasons now, so I had to get her something else.

I found this fabric at JoAnn's Fabric and instantly thought of Bethany. Right now she's really into owls, so I figured I could make her a quilt with this fabric.

It's really cute fabric!

Here's the end result! The picture is pretty crappy, but it came out pretty cute!

After painting, people came over and we played some fun games like Battle of the Sexes (not the board game) "What if...", and Mafia. It was way fun!

It's Friday so that means Softball Game tonight! There's going to be a few players missing tonight, but hopefully they'll pull through and do well tonight!

Dig a little deeper!

Dig a little Deeper
from
"The Princess and the Frog"

Don't matter what you wear
How many rings you got on your finger
We don't care
Choir: (No we don't care)

Don't matter where you come from
Don't even matter what you are

A dog, a pig, a cow, a goat
Had 'em all in here (we had 'em all in here)

This is the part of the song that I listened to probably 50 times today. At least it's a fun, catchy song!

Today I taught 4th-6th graders 32 counts of choreography for auditioning for "Musical Express" at my nephews school. You might be wondering why, out of all people, would I teach the choreography, but basically, the teachers person flaked out, so I filled in! Pretty funny. But I'm really excited to be a part of "Musical Express and Musical Express Jr.".

What is it?

Basically it's two Show Choirs. Musical Express Jr. is for 1st-3rd graders and Musical Express is for 4th-6th graders. My nephew Tate auditioned today and did an awesome job. He had to sing 16 counts of a song and then do the choreography that I taught to the children. He did great!

Tomorrow is the Jr. group auditions and I'm going to assume that teaching the younger kids the 32 counts of Choreography is going to be a little more difficult.

But today was a lot of fun and I can't wait to help out with practices and the shows. I'm not going to be the choreographer(duh, and thank goodness) but I'm going to be assisting with the music. I'm excited. I have really missed doing theatre and choir, so I'm excited to be helping out and hopefully have some fun along the way!

Labor Day

Labor day consisted of a lot of good food and fun with friends and family.

We went over to Lish and Ricky's to hang out and eat food. There were lots of cute babies there and we had a lot of fun.

Ricky and Ryan were tossing the ball around in attempts to get better at Softball.

Lish was cutting up the squash from her own garden! She was so proud of growing something, and it was way good cooked!

Here's some of the food that we ate at Lisha's. Rachelle wanted to get rid of some of her meat in her freezer so we had yummy burgers and a ton of chicken wings. Yummy!

After that, we headed over to Ryan's parents house for some more food and fun, but this time with family!

We had some burgers and hot dogs along with a ton of other yummy food. It's nice to be able to spend time with family.

Chance wanted yet another "rematch" of Settlers, so Ryan and I played Sarah and Chance again last night. I happened to kick their trash at the game and Chance wasn't happy about that at all. I'm sure we're gonna have to keep playing until he wins, and I'm not sure if that's gonna happen anytime soon. haha But we had fun and will most likely play again soon.
